In 2009 the lovely man I thought was my biological dad, I sadly found out was not, I was absolutely devastated.
September 2019, I decided to take an Ancestry dna test to see if I could find any paternal relatives. Closest match I had was 2nd cousin, who was reluctant to help and numerous very distant cousins. I uploaded my raw dna to a number others sites too. I was born and still live in Scotland and found most of my relatives were from USA so I was stumped. Also with no name or dob for my birth father, I resigned myself to never knowing.
Then through a distant cousin contacting me I was introduced to Tina who offered to work with me in my search!
Honestly there is no way in this world I could have proceeded any further with my search without her expertise and support.
She managed to piece the minimal information I had, advise me to ask the right questions to matches I did have.. and from the other side of the world she helped me find my biological dad within 3 months!!
She is so caring, knowledgeable and talented researcher. I could not have found my father without her help and guidance. I cannot recommend Tina as genealogy researcher highly enough!
I have even been fortunate enough to meet my dad once before pandemic and he only lives short distance away and to discover I have 2 half siblings too is amazing. He had no idea I even existed!
I think it's so important to know where you come from. It's an emotional journey but if you have Tina by your side you will have best expertise and care.

After searching for over 30 years for my Grandfather, I have finally had a breakthrough thanks to the help of Tina.
Due to the Pandemic, I decided to start another in depth search, with the help of my daughters. We found a newspaper article that explained the name we had for my Grandfather (on the marriage certificate) was incorrect due to a bigamist marriage. This search then led me to Tina as I thought we may be connected by my research on Ancestry. Even though it turned out we were not, Tina offered to help me in my search. She has been so friendly and helpful. She had experience of the DNA side of things and checked my DNA against various other sites. She also helped create my family tree on Ancestry which has helped to make things clearer.
Unfortunately my story has lots of twists and turns and another article found by my daughter led us to another name for my Grandfather where my grandmother had pursued him for maintenance money.
I now know what family I am related to and have a name for who we think is my Grandfather. I’m just needing information from his direct family to complete the puzzle.
Tina has been great sending me encouraging messages to keep searching and has continued to help me finally get closer to solving this mystery, all in her own time and I feel I have made a friend.

Thank you so much for finding my father's paternal family, without
your detective work we would still be in the dark, my father never knew who his father was and my sister and l after trying for many years thought we never would. Thank you again we now have a whole new family.

I embarked on a journey with my father from when I was no age in his quest to find cousins and reconnect after years gone by and plenty we have found along the way from all wonders of the world. We have some lovely trips and excursions, picnics from the back of the car with my mums full chicken and a flask of tea and a good Brennans loaf and a block of butter. Once refueled off to another graveyard we head and more links to our genealogy. Now, we have found alot of living ones too!!! A few years ago I up the search thanks to my cousin in America who got into the dna genealogy as she has done amazing work and endless hours and late nights of searching. Just a natural in my eyes to all of this as it is a head spinner at times. So the swab got sent from Ireland back to America and unbelievable a few months later an adopted girl contacted me through her looking for family. Yes a 3rd cousin who was swamped with information of a family unknown. Wow I was amazed and god love her so she was too. We taught nothing else would come but low and behold someone who I taught we would never connect with contacted through her again and it was a first cousin I had being trying to find for years and years. If I had done this sooner there are so many people that would have love to know her but unfortunately have passed on. This is amazing, we talk constantly and I even have her connected with our uncle and lots of other cousins she never new she had. Back to our road trips soon again to all meet up.She is astounded at the people who always knew about her but could never find her. All thanks to Tina and her expertise this would have never happened. I am so grateful for all the countless hours and searches that she puts in to make dreams come true as its a feeling that could never repay.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart
To my old and new cousins 💕
Even when years go by, you greet your cousins like no time has passed because they are stamped on your heart forever
